Passion

Passion

Our passion for coffee dates back from 1950, year in which Miguel Fort, founder of the company, started his corporate journey at a small coffee roasting facility in the city of LLeida.

His entrepreneurial spirit and the accrued business value resulting from the team's several years of hard work were the drivers which supported the sustained growth of the company specialized in coffee roasting.
In the 1990s, the second family generation started the professionalization of the business management and envisioned ambitious expansion plans around the three primary pillars: quality, professional service for the horeca channel and innovation concerning new coffee brands and presentations.

One of the characteristic traits of Torrelsa is its close collaboration with important hotel and restaurants chains. This fact contributed to a pioneer style in the establishment of new trends concerning coffee consumption.

In 1999, the company became part of the Portuguese corporate group JMV. In this new stage of the company, Torrelsa maintains its expansion plans to new markets, improves the synergies with the group and updates its professional service offer.

Presently, Torrelsa is present in the entire Spanish territory, with head office in LLeida, branches in Barcelona, Balearic Islands and Madrid, and distributors in several locations of the country. Its international expansion includes several European and African markets.
